It seems to me that RFID is a technology that is well-situated to take advantage of the fact that stuff is cheaper than labor.

So I've been trying to come up with a bucket of companies I could invest in such that one of them is likely to profit well from the increasing RFID demand. Suggestions?

Hmm. I'm an index investor myself, so you probably shouldn't trust any recommendations I have for individual companies - I haven't put any effort into evaluating financials. I'm not sure which parts of the RFID universe are going to make a lot of money and which are going to be commodified into near-unprofitability. I also can't recommend that you invest in my company or a few others I know, because they're privately held. So I don't think I'm much help here.

(also "increasing RFID demand" might be true, but people have lost a lot of money expecting it to take off faster than it has so far. In particular, two or three years ago everybody expected a big push for RFID in the retail supply chain, led by Wal-Mart, but it didn't happen.)

Ah well. Doesn't hurt to ask!
