If I cook up some Moors and Christians, but the rice is yellow, do I have to call it something else?

See, I love black beans and rice, but I always preferred cooking them separately and then putting them together afterwards, so I don't know how to do Moros y Cristianos.

I do like red beans and rice, cooked together, in a vaguely southern way, but that's different. (Hrm, Indios y Cristianos?)

What is it that is making the rice yellow anyway? If you're putting saffron in it, then all bets are off. :) But I want some.

This is yellow from turmeric in the curry powder blend I have. I thought I had some plain turmeric around, but apparantly not. It was still pretty tasty.
